Excel Basics

HCC Biz 115 Students: This is the beginning of Excel, have a listen to my brief Podcast at Excel Basics or type this into your browser http://pixiespodcast.mypodcast.com/index.html, then turn to Lesson #1 in the text and do Step-by-Step 1.1 thru 1.6.

IF you have yet to download the files, from the HCC computer, you will need to do that first. Just the Step Files need downloading.

Leave any comments you have here....and keep checking into class.

I've been to (3) different labs and can't locate the academic server in any of them. Do we now of a lab that is connected to the server so I can get the excel steps?

hummm....Dale, have you tried any labs in Kidridge Bld? I'm sure you probably have.

IF you can't find the academic server, you might want to just try the steps-from the book-using data you plug in. It might be clumsy at first, however, I think you'll get the idea.

ALSO, try looking on your memory stick just to see if you, by chance, copied the files.

Good luck and keep me posted.

Tim is grinding away at the Power Point and should be done shortly. Is there a way to access the Excel files without physically going on campus?

Folks, I am afraid there is NOT another way to access the Excel files without physically going to campus.

Theres an open lab for students on the 2nd or 3rd floor of Kittredge at the end of the hall. Thats where I downloaded my Excel files from. Just get on that one of those computers and tight on the desk top it says Microsoft Office or something . Open that and from there do the drop down menu and click on academic server on earth (g) or something of that sort. Find Bus 115 and then you know the whole deal from there. I hope that made sense.
